Leadership Development
Young Leaders/Generation 21
We aim to reproduce Christ-like or Godly Leaders. YFC Uganda recruits 6-8 Young People who go through a 10 months Training program. They also volunteer in our evangelism program going to schools to do Youth Evangelism. We teach servant leadership and Shepherd Leadership models as we look at the example of Jesus, and Shepherding that focuses on these three pillars of Presence, Protection, and Provision.

School Prefects, Counselors, and Scripture Union Leaders
Schools organize and allow us to train all their student leaders, including prefects, student council leaders, and Scripture Union fellowship leaders.
At the end of the program, we usually offer them certificates of participation.

Objectives of the Leadership Development
We aim to
- Preach the gospel to young people
- Develop God fearing leaders
- Improve the character of the leaders
- Grow leaders who will develop other leaders
- Develop leaders who are living exemplary lives

Youth Evangelism
Youth evangelism is more than just outreach—it’s about planting seeds of faith in fertile ground:
🌱 1. Reaching the Next Generation
Young people are at a formative stage in life, making them more open to exploring spiritual truths. Evangelism helps them encounter Christ before life’s distractions take deeper root.
🔥 2. Energy and Passion
Youth bring vibrancy, creativity, and boldness to the mission. Their enthusiasm can ignite revival among peers and even older generations.
🤝 3. Peer Influence
Young people are uniquely positioned to reach their own circles. They understand the language, struggles, and culture of their generation, making their witness more relatable and impactful.
📱 4. Digital Mission Fields
With their fluency in social media and online platforms, youth can share the gospel in spaces where traditional evangelism might not reach.
🌍 5. Sustaining the Church’s Future
Engaging youth in evangelism nurtures future leaders and ensures the continuity of faith communities. It’s an investment in both spiritual growth and long-term vitality.
🙌 6. Identity and Purpose
Evangelism helps youth discover their identity in Christ and live with purpose. It empowers them to be ambassadors of hope in a world that often feels chaotic.
